Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their work vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted multiple vans pink to raise funds for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his employees both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the number of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still represents a large number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s an urgent need for research and support.”
Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
