What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Climate Control Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most typical A/C problems in Mobile.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner working but there isn’t cool air coming out, you may need to have your refrigerant levels evaluated. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Climate Control Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning and we’ll come out and check your refrigerant levels and look into why your AC system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

The reason your condenser fan isn’t rotating could be that it merely burned out and you require a replacement. Humidity can cause more condensation so another matter to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is obstructed. If you can confirm these things, you may be able to find the issue; if not, give Climate Control Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and go over your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds silly but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause major cooling issues. Another problem that could cause your ineffective cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Climate Control Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your issues.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your system is short cycling, or turning on or off constantly, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all blockages removed, you may be good to go. Remember that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home cool.

No matter your trouble, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Climate Control Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here for you all day, every day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
