What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Climate Control Service Experts is here with a few of the most typical A/C problems in Mobile.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner working but there isn’t cool air coming out, you may need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air coming out of your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Climate Control Service Experts and we’ll come out and check your refrigerant levels and look into why your AC system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

The reason your condenser fan isn’t rotating could be that it merely burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so a second matter to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is blocked. If you can verify these things, you may be able to discover the problem; if not, give Climate Control Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds silly but sometimes we forget the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, check the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause significant cooling issues. Another problem that could cause your ineffective cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Climate Control Service Experts will come out and do an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your problems.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your system is short cycling, or turning on or off repeatedly, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and needs cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be good to go. Keep in mind that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the desired temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your problem, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Climate Control Service Experts is here for you 24/7/365 so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
